My muse made a visit...

*I have once again been visited by my muse. It's very rare that my muse ever comes out. I hope my muse stays for a while. :-) *

My personal clown

You have this uncanny ability to make me laugh
With just a few words,
You're able to lift the corners of my mouth
and profoundly touch the corners of my heart
I thank you for that.
To have you in this cruel world
is like having a warm blanket
You provide the warmth I need
When it's cold and unfriendly outside.
It's funny how much I need you
You've become addictive like a drug
You bring color to my world
You enable me to see things in a different light
And I have no means to make you stay.
You make me laugh
You make me smile
You touch my heart with small acts of kindness and thoughtfulness
But I don't have the means to make you stay.
Should you choose to cease and leave,
I will keep on smiling for you.
I won't show my sadness
Or how my world will fall into darkness.
I will continue to smile for you
Because as you make me happy,
I want the same for you as well.
So I will continue to smile for you
In hopes that you will fall in-love with it someday.
