kate and leopold

call me a sucker for romantic films, but -sigh- this is one of those you have to watch if you're into romantic films.

after a tiring day of shopping *snicker*, my bestfriend and i relaxed and put our feet up while watching kate and leopold on DVD.

i just had to write a note about it before i go hit the showers and soak my feet in warm water. Hugh Jackman playing a 19th century character = *drool*.

Kate: What are you doing?
Leopold: I beg your pardon.
Kate: Why are you standing up?
Leopold: I am accustomed to stand when a lady leaves the table.

-sigh-

In this day and age, wouldn't traditional romantic gestures be nice once in a while? It sure would. Call me old-fashioned but any guy who sincerely and genuinely executes a well-thought out romantic date would definitely, definitely melt my heart. In this day and age of having almost everything at your fingertips in an instant, it would be nice to experience pampering from someone's thoughtfulness and caring.
