Of Moonriver, Pablo Neruda, and various sad love quotes...

Moon River

Lately i've been sad as I haven't been in a rather long time. I suppose this has something to do with the 4th of July coming round the bend. -sighs-

Anyway, lyrics first:

"Moon River"
music by Henry Mancini, lyrics by Johnny Mercer

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

I am either getting too sentimental lately or this is simply the 4th of July coming closer. Either way, I hope the activities I planned for July cheers me up. Else... -sighs-

I think of her sometimes... on the way home from the office... I think of her and I wonder if she thinks of me too. Or if she remembers... or if she is as affected as I am that the 4th of July is coming closer and closer. Nick and Phoe said prolly not... and that I shouldn't care if she cares.

-sighs-

I evoke Pablo Neruda :
"Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her."

-sighs-

Since it's that time of the month, let me share some really good painful love quotes :

The saddest thing in the world, is loving someone who used to love you.
~Anonymous

For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'It might have been.'
~John Greenleaf Whittier

You can choose to be happy or sad and whichever you choose that is what you get. No one is really responsible to make someone else happy, no matter what most people have been taught and accept as true.
~Sidney Madwed

She said she usually cried at least once each day not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful and life was so short.
~Brian Andreas

Love is giving someone a gun pointed at your head and trusting them not to pull the trigger
~Anonymous

So the tension is building, and the tears are falling and you still don't want to stay.
~Anonymous

When we cannot get what we love, we must love what is within our reach.
~French Proverb

Be mindful what you toss away, be careful what you push away, and think hard before walking away.
~Anonymous

My favorite among all:
"In time, the pain it took to stay, became greater than the pain it took to go.
~Anonymous"

I'd just like to know if whoever I'm supposed to end up with is really out there... I'd like to tell you that you're awfully late and you're making me wait for so long it's making me cry so much... hurry up and get here... so i can begin the rest of my life already.

I pretend to be strong and not think of these things... i always tell my family i'm never going to get married... that i'd rather take care of them and my nephews... but the truth is... i'm just managing my expectations. Just in case the one im supposed to be with is totally lost and never gets here in time... then the pain would at least not be so bad :'(
